0 why indirect rule was indirect because of the following reasons.
1. to avoid african resistance 2. lack of infrastructure like road, railways 3.due to language barrier British used local african leader to communicate with their fellow africans. 4.lack of larger army , British was few in number thus why they used local chiefs to help them as the way to avoid resistance from african because they had a liitle number of soldiers in africa. 5. shortage of man power |
